Trevor Fountain is a 3rd-year graduate student (ahem, a “postgraduate”) at the University of Edinburgh’s School of Informatics. He’s currently a member of ICCS, where he’s studying models of natural language categorization under Mirella Lapata.
He did his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin, in the Computer Science Department. He graduated as one of the first classes of Turing Scholars, and did his honor’s thesis work with the UT Computational Linguistics Lab as part of the Shalmaneser semantic role-labeling project.
Please don’t tell anyone, but he wrote this while he was supposed to be working.
Texas Expat is powered by Movable Type 5, Ubuntu Linux, and Linode. It uses entirely hand-written templates and stylesheets, which (at the time of this writing) generate valid HTML5, CSS3, RSS 2.0, and Atom.
It is not updated very often.
